The Hon’ble Minister of Telangana state, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav released the trailer of Aithe 2.0 on Friday, March 9, 2018. Directed by Raju Madiraju, the film is a techno-thriller about technological advancements and their impact on the society.
Speaking at the event, the minister said, “This film casts Telangana’s artistes in the main. In the context of a fast-changing society and technological advancement, cyber crimes have become a major menace. ‘Aithe 2.0’ shows how they happen. We are seeing such instances every day. I am glad that this movie has a message-oriented streak. How technology is abused is very problematic. It’s a happy development that the director has made this movie with new artists and technicians. My whole-hearted wishes to the entire team. Our audiences have always accepted novel films. We have witnessed the success stories of such films as ‘Arjun Reddy’ in the recent past.”
The film is slated to release on March 16. The film’s director Raju Madiraju of Rishi and Andhra Pori fame, while thanking the gathering, confirmed that Aithe 2.0’s overseas distributions rights have been sold out. The overseas rights of the film have been bagged by Planet Earth Entertainment for a fancy price, while the Indian distribution has gone to Viswas Cinemas.
The film is about four engineering graduates, all unemployed, and their tryst with the crime world. How the Internet has made us vulnerable in this digital age is what the film drives home through its detailed and tight screenplay.
On the film, Raju Madiraju said, “We are living dangerously. Many news items shocked me when I read them. WikiLeaks is just one example. There are many, many other skeletons in the cupboard. DRDO files have been hacked into by a foreign country, a cricketer’s bank account was hacked recently. We are telling you such fearsome stories in our movie.”
Aithe 2.0 stars Indraneil Sengupta, Zara Shah, Abhishek, Kartavya Sharma, Neeraj, Mrunal, Mridanjli and Dr. Srikanth in the lead roles. Arun Chiluveru has composed music for this flick with Kaushik Abhimanyu cranking the camera and Rajeev Nair taking care of the art department. Kittu Vissapragada has penned the dialogues as well as lyrics.
