The News Minute | November 14, 2014 | 9:15 am IST The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has released the dates for the intermediate examinations to be conducted in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh between March 11th and 31st of 2015. Though the AP government has accepted, the Telangana government is yet to officially announce its decision. As per the AP Reorganization Act, educational institutions remain common for the two states for the next decade. According to a report in The Times of India, The government has reportedly even refused to sign the acceptance of the file from the AP government. “There was no discussion on the matter before AP decided on the dates. Why would the Telangana government give its consent?” a Telangana officer told the newspaper. There have also been talks that the Telangana government might hold its own exams on separate dates. AP human resource development minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said during a press conference on Thursday that “Nearly 20,000 students from both states will be appearing for the exams. We hope the Telangana government also agrees to the schedule”
