Having returned to Hyderabad just a day earlier after he met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi, Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao launched a tirade against Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office, Pragathi Bhavan, calling Naidu ‘the dirtiest politician’ in India and a liar, and accusing him of corruption. He also called him a “rakshasa”, a demon, at his press conference on Saturday.

"Without any doubt, he is the dirtiest politician in the country. He is a liar and rakshasa (demon) doing dirty politics. He should feel ashamed,” said the TRS party chief, who added that the TDP chief cannot get away with lies all the time, and questioned his interest in the proposed Federal Front.

“Who is he to ask why I met Naveen Patnaik. Did I ask him when he went around meeting other national politicians? He does not have consistency in his policies. Four years ago, he called upon the people of the state not to allow Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to step into their state. After sailing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for four years, he is now running after Gandhi. Now, he is asking the people to boycott Modi,” said KCR.

The Telangana CM also called Naidu a liar for saying that Telangana MPs have opposed special category status for Andhra Pradesh, "Naidu is lying.”

KCR also accused Naidu of siphoning off Rs 1,500 crore from the Rs 24,000 crore given by the Centre to AP government to compensate the revenue deficit occurred due to state bifurcation.

“You have siphoned off the funds given by the Centre including Rs 1,500 crore given for the construction of secretariat and Assembly,” alleged KCR. The initial press conference that was to discuss on the outcome his day's meetings with cabinet secretaries and officials in Delhi went on for over an hour, devolving into Naidu bashing.

“Naidu is a political manager,” alleged KCR, accusing Naidu of using NTR’s granddaughter as political fodder for recent state elections. Nandamuri Suhasini had contested from the Kukatpally assembly constituency. “Now that the lady has lost the elections. I am sure that Naidu will ignore her. Her purpose is over,” said KCR.

When a reporter asked KCR about cabinet expansion, he replied, “Why you are anxious? Are you going to become a Minister?” KCR was sworn in as the Chief Minister for his second term on December 13, but has so far appointed only a home minister, while rest of the cabinet positions remain vacant.

Responding to questions about the proposed Federal Front, KCR said, “We are yet to formulate the agenda for the federal front. We are striving to build a consensus among the like-minded parties in this direction, who further added that the objective of the proposed front is to find a new agricultural economic model for the country,” he said. “A few of us leaders will sit down and discuss this in another 15 days.”
