In a move to help an 11-months-old boy from Gajwel, suffering from liver-related ailments Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sanctioned Rs 25 lakhs from the CM's Relief Fund.

Devasani Sriman, son of Hanuman and Maheswari, who hails from Gajwel, has been ailing since his birth. Doctors treating him said that a transplant is the only solution for the child.  Sriman's father, who runs a printing press, found it difficult to get the required amount of money.

A release came from the Telangana CMO says that the CM learnt of the boy's condition through media reports. He then asked the Siddipet District Collector, Venkatram Reddy, to ensure the child is provided with the right medical facilities.

The Collector got in touch with the child's family and inquired about the expenses for the treatment. Doctors at Global Hospital, Hyderabad informed the collector that the transplant would cost Rs 25 lakhs.

Following which the CM released a cheque for Rs 25 lakhs for the treatment which was handed over to the parents by the Collector on Monday.
