The Mohanlal starrer Drama hit the silver screens on November 1 this year and during its release there were speculations that the teaser of Mohanlal’s upcoming film Lucifer would be attached to it. However, Lucifer’s director Prithviraj confirmed that the teaser would not be released along with Drama. Now, with Mohanlal’s Odiyan set for release on December 14, rumours are rife that the teaser of Lucifer could be attached to it. Well, we need to wait for an official word on this.
Lucifer is one of the most expected films in Mollywood as it marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film has Mohanlal playing the lead role with an ensemble of stars in the cast including Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, and Tovino in pivotal roles. Those in the supporting roles include Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas and Mala Parvathy.
Antony Perumbavoor will be bankrolling Lucifer under the banner of Aashirvad films. The shooting of Lucifer began on July 18 and will be shot extensively at different locations in Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai and Kuttikkanam. The technical crew of the film includes Sujith Vasudevan for cinematography and Samjith for editing while Stephen Devassy will be in charge of the music composition. Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer which is touted to be a political thriller.
Odiyan, which is gearing up for release on December 14, is a high budget movie that is being bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. The film is directed by VA Shreekumar Menon. The technical crew of the film includes M. Jayachandran to compose the soundtrack while Sam CS is in charge of the background music. Shaji Kumar is the cinematographer for this venture with John Kutty being the editor.
