Mohanlal’s son Pranav Mohanlal made his acting debut as a child artiste several years ago and also went on to the win National Award for Best Child Artiste. And now, he is all set to make his debut as a hero with the Jeethu Joseph directorial Aadhi. The young actor had worked with Jeethu Joseph as his assistant in a couple of movies before actually deciding to don the greasepaint.

While a couple of posters of Aadhi did make it to the internet, the teaser that has been released recently has garnered the attention of the film buffs in a big way. The teaser, which runs for 40 seconds, shows Pranav walking on the sea shore and then the title of the film, Aadhi, is unveiled. This has naturally stirred the curiosity levels among the movie buffs who are eager to know what the Drishyam director is coming up with this time around.

The film is produced by Mohanlal’s close associate and well known producer Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas and will be distributed by Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments. Anil Johnson is scoring the music for this action thriller with Satheesh Kurup handling the cinematography and Ayoob Khan roped in for editing. Apart from making his debut as a hero with this flick, Pranav has also penned the lyrics for a song and has sung it.

The shooting of Aadhi began in August this year and was shot extensively in various locations in Kochi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The star cast has Pranav Mohanlal playing the title role of Aadhithyamohan with Meghanathan, Siddique, Sharafudheen, Jagapathi Babu, Siju Wilson, Aditi Ravi, Anusree, Lena and Tony Luke playing pivotal roles. While there were plans to release the film for Christmas this year, reports say that it has been pushed to January next year.
