Asif Ali, Mukesh, Jean Paul Lal and Farhaan Faasil are playing important roles in the film, directed by Arun Kumar Aravind.

The teaser of Asif Ali starrer Underworld has been released recently. The film, touted to be a thriller, is directed by Arun Kumar Aravind and bankrolled under the banner D14 Entertainments. The teaser with the chilling music, gun shots and gambling rooms, points to the film being a thriller. Asif Ali, Faraan Faasil, Jean Paul Lal and veteran actor Mukesh appear in the teaser. 

The poster too has been unveiled recently and shows Asif, Farhaan and Jean Paul Lal sitting together. The scripting for this entertainer has been done by Shibin Francis and the rest of the technical crew includes Alex J Pulickal for cinematography and Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair for music composition.

Mukesh will also be playing a pivotal role. While Asif Ali’s character is named Stalin John, Farhan Faasil will be playing the role named Majeed, Mukesh as Padmanabhan Nair and Lal Jr. as Solomon.

Asi Ali has a slew of other projects in different stages of production in his kitty apart from Underworld. He and Amala Paul have been roped in to play the lead pair in the upcoming Malayalam film Parannu Parannu. To be directed by Sugeeth, this will be a romantic comedy entertainer. Asif and Amala have earlier worked together in Ithu Nammude Katha.

Besides Amala Paul, Parannu Parannu will have two more women playing important roles but their names are yet to be revealed. According to Sugeeth, the film will be shot entirely in Dubai barring two important scenes, which will be shot in Kerala. The groundwork for this project is on and the shooting is expected to commence later this year. Being a rom-com, its makers are aiming for Valentine’s Day release next year.

Asif’s film Kakshi: Amminippilla, will release this Friday. The trailer has showed interesting visuals of Asif as a lawyer, taking up a case of Amminipilla, played by Ahmed Siddique.

Asif Ali’s other projects in the pipeline include Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha, Kunjeldho and the yet to be titled Rajeev Ravi directorial.
