The News Minute | March 13, 2015 | 04.20 pm ISTA female yoga teacher who went on a crash course in driving is still absconding after the van she was driving plunged into a canal - while carrying six school students. The students were on their way home from the Antony’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Nagapattinam when the driver of the van let 40-year old Rajeshwari, a yoga teacher take the wheel.Soon after, Rajeshwari lost control of the vehicle following which the road took a sharp curve. Unable to control the vehicle, it plunged into a canal near the Kuravapulam village. However, only two students of the six sustained injuries which were minor. The driver, Kalidasan, 28, has been arrested. However, Rajeshwari is still missing. Interestingly, the school itself refrained from taking action against the teacher stating that a decision would be made after they spoke to her. As of now, Rajeshwari’s phone remains switched off. The school intends to wait until she returns to school for work after which they would take a call, reportedThe New Indian Express. The boys, Niranjan, aged 9, and Rithish , aged 4, suffered minor injuries which were treated at the Vedaranyam Government Hospital following which they were discharged. TweetFollow @thenewsminute
