Tanya Hope has been roped in to play one of the heroines in Darshan’s upcoming film. The film, which will be his 51st, is expected to start rolling soon and the prep work for it is currently on.
While Rashmika Mandanna is already on board this project, we now hear that Tanya Hope has bagged a role in this romantic entertainer. Shylaja Nag and B Suresh will be bankrolling this venture.
For Tanya, who was a Miss India Pageant contestant a few years ago, this will be her second film in the Kannada film industry, the first being the Upendra starrer Home Minister. Though she had starred in a couple of Telugu movies in the past, it wasn’t easy for Tanya to bag the role in this Darshan starrer.
According to sources, she underwent several rounds of audition before she signed on the dotted lines. To be directed by Pon Kumar, the film is touted to be a complete commercial entertainer.
Music composer V Harikrishna has been roped in to compose the tunes for this film with Shreesha Kuduvalli cranking the camera. The groundwork to get this untitled film on to the floors has begun and it is expected to start rolling from this month. Meanwhile, Darshan is busy with his 50th film Kurukshetra which is in the final stages of production. Sources say that Kurukshetra, which is one of the costliest films to be ever made in the Kannada film industry, will hit the silver screens in March / April.
