Having started his career as an actor, writer and composer with 1980 Tamil film "Oru Thalai Ragam", T Rajendar went on to star in nearly 50 films over a career spanning two decades.
"A sense a burning passion in him more like in the folk tradition, his songs and monologues are still a sensation for me," he wrote, and added that it was humbling to know A.R Rahman and Sivamani (percussionist) were Rajendar’s music companions in those times.
T Rajendar is currently busy shooting for a yet-untitled K.V Anand Tamil directorial.
