Hyderabad-based startup engine T-Hub has partnered with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) Hyderabad Research & Design Center (HRDC) to invite cyber security professionals to apply for its Hack2Hire program.

HRDC is American conglomerate United Technologies’ largest R&D centre based out of Hyderabad.

Though Hack2Hire, T-Hub and UTC is looking for talent pool to join UTC HRDC and work to implement projects related to Product security, deploy best in class technology, and streamline security process across its (CCS/OTIS) products.

There are three available positions: Technical Specialist, Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer. UTC HRDC has multiple openings under each of the listed positions and Hack2Hire will help the potential applicants to get employed for one of them. 

UTC HRDC is looking for candidates with strong experience in embedded, IoT, cloud, web application or mobile application security assessment, those with recognized cyber security certification. Candidates must have expert level knowledge in cryptography (PKI, Certificate and Key Management), dynamic Analysis experience on embedded, web, and IoT systems and expert level knowledge in source code review using automation tools and manual approach.

They must have exposure in wireless and wired protocols and must be an engineering graduate with 3 – 15 years of experience in cyber security domain.

Shortlisted participants will be invited to participate in a 24-hour hackathon on August 18-19, 2018, where they can ideate, develop, and showcase their solutions by accessing the relevant tools and working under the mentorship of industry experts. According to UTC HRDC, renumeration will be as per industry standards. Applications for the hackathon are open and will close on August 12, 2018.

The candidates shortlisted from the hackathon will then be hired by UTC HRDC. They will have access to UTC HRDC’s Employee Scholar Program (ESP), which encourages eligible employees to develop additional skills and engage in lifelong learning at accredited public colleges and universities while working at UTC HRDC. The Employee Coverage limit for a master’s Degree is INR 750,000. UTC supports PhD programs, certifications as well.
