After Thaana Serntha Kootam, Suriya will next be seen playing a leader in Selvaraghavan’s NGK – Nandha Gopala Krishnan. Suriya has started dubbing for the film and the audio launch of the film is likely to be held next month.
Producer SR Prabhu tweeted saying that he will share the film's release plan in a week, "Started dubbing for #NGK today :) Release plan to be shared in a week!."
Touted to be a socio-political drama the film stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi as the leading ladies. The film, which was officially launched in February 2018 also stars Jagapathi Babu, Ilavarasu and Ramkumar Ganesan in supporting roles.
With Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music, it is being produced by Dream Warrior Pictures.
Suriya, is currently busy with KV Anand's Kaappaan. In a recent video interview, actors Mohanlal and Suriya, who have pivotal roles in the film, revealed the characters that they are playing.
While Mohanlal plays the Prime Minister of the country, Suriya will be a Special Protection (SPG) Officer in the film. The SPG forces are a part of the armed forces of the country specially designated to protect the Prime Minister. Arya plays the Prime Minister's son in this film.
The shooting of this film is currently on and it is expected to hit the marquee in October this year.
Upon wrapping the project with the actor is all set to commence work on his next yet-untitled project – dubbed as Suriya 38 - with director Sudha Kongara, who rose to fame with R Madhavan starrer Irudhi Suttru.
If everything goes as planned, the regular shooting of Suriya 38 will start from April and the makers have confirmed over the weekend that the film will be co-produced by Oscar winning Guneet Monga, who is foraying into Tamil with this project.
