Superstar Rajinikanth, who was out of action for nearly three months, is finally getting back on his feet, thanks to a much-needed break in the US. Having returned, Thalaivar is gearing up for the start of shooting for Shankar’s “2.0”, the sequel to 2010 blockbuster “Enthiran”.
According to sources, the makers of “2.0” met Rajinikanth a few days ago, and have got his nod to resume shooting from next week.
Rajinikanth returns as scientist Vaseegaran in “2.0”, and will lock horns with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who plays the primary antagonist. Being bankrolled by Lyca Productions on a budget of Rs 350 crore, the film also stars Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey.
As soon as Rajini joins the sets, the team plans to shoot an action sequence, followed by a couple of songs. Shankar is known for shooting the songs in his films first, before following up with the talkie portion. However, in the case of “2.0”, he hasn’t shot a single song sequence yet.
