Malayalam actor Sunny Wayne is all set to debut in the Tamil film industry with Gypsy. The actor shared on his social media, the trailer of the film which gives a glimpse of his character as a communist leader. He wrote, “A film that will be very close to my heart as it’s my first Tamil film. It was an honour to have associated with National Award-winning director Raju Murugan. I hope you all like and support the film.”

Gypsy stars Jiiva and Natasha Singh as the lead pair. Malayalam filmmaker Lal Jose plays the main antagonist in this film ,that is bankrolled by Ambeth Kumar under his banner Olympia Movies. Santosh Narayan is composing the tunes for this film with Sathyan Sooryan cranking the camera and Raymond Derrick Crasta editing it. Director Raju Murugan made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Cuckoo and then went on to direct Joker, which fetched him the award for Best Feature Film in Tamil at the 64th National Film Awards. 

Sunny Wayne has earlier posted about his Tamil debut, as being excited ‘to work with such super talented people.

In Malayalam, the actor was last seen in the film June, playing one of the three male lead characters opposite Rajisha Vijayan’s title character. Before that he was seen playing a prominent character in Rosshan Andrrews’s period film Kayamkulam Kochunni, as an antagonist cop. He was also seen in Mammootty starrer Oru Kuttanadan Blog.

Sunny Wayne made his debut with the Dulquer Salmaan starrer Second Show in 2012 and has acted in a number of Malayalam films till date. He has been noticed for his performance in movies like Annmariya Kalippilanu, Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi and Annayum Rasoolum.
