The first look of the Sunny Leone starrer Veermahadevi in which she plays the title role has been revealed and is going viral online. The actor is seen on a horse valiantly fighting her opponents and it gives all the indications that Veermahadevi is a period flick about a brave Queen.
Directed by VC Vadivudaiyan, the film is being bankrolled by Ponse Steven under his banner Steeves Corner on a budget of Rs 100 crores. Being a period flick, Veermahadevi will rely heavily on computer graphics and the team has earmarked Rs 40 crores for it.
According to reports, the historical film is being made in five different languages - Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu - simultaneously. The high budget film also features Nasser in a pivotal role with the Arya fame Navdeep roped in to play the villain. The film has Amrish Ganesh composing the music. It will be shot in several locations across Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Karnataka, and Kerala.

It may be mentioned here that the heroine-centric historical such as Arundhati and Rudramadevi were well received by the film buffs; therefore, expectations on Veeramadevi is very high.
Sunny Leone made her debut with the Bollywood flick Jism 2 in 2012 and since then has since starred in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali films.
Having been a porn star once, Sunny is currently keen on doing meaningful roles that will fodder her acting skills. She is excited to play the lead role in Veeramadevi and has undergone special training in martial arts, horse riding etc., to fit into the character. Apart from acting in films, Sunny Leone has also had a successful stint in television having hosted several shows and participated in reality shows as well.
