On the birth anniversary of the legendary actor A Nageswara Rao, its makers have revealed his first look in the upcoming NTR biopic. ANR and NTR ruled the roost in the Telugu film industry for several years. Therefore, their paths were always intertwined despite the latter entering into politics and becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Interestingly, Nageswara Rao’s grandson Sumanth has been roped in to play the role of his grandfather and he fits the bill perfectly. The makers of the biopic have brought out the look of the character so well that the movie buffs just can’t wait to see him in action when the film releases.

It is well known that the NTR biopic is a star-studded project with the best of actors being in the star cast. N Balakrishna will be playing his late father, the film star and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao in it.

The star cast also comprises Vidya Balan, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Rakul Preet Singh and Kaikala Satyanarayana in pivotal roles. Reports are that Rakul Preet Singh, Keerthy Suresh, Mohan Babu, and Sumanth are playing Sri Devi, Savitri, SV Ranga Rao and A Nageswara Rao respectively. Rana Daggubati will be seen as the current Andhra chief minister and NTR’s son-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu.

The biopic is bankrolled by N Balakrishna along with Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri and is helmed by J Krish.

The shooting of the NTR biopic went on floors around July and is progressing at a good pace. The filmmakers intend to release it for Sankaranthi next year and are working hard to meet this deadline. One of the biggest reasons to have this biopic released for Sankaranthi is that the election code of conduct will come into force later that month and it will not be possible to release until the elections.
