Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming film Billa Ranga Baashaa is creating the right buzz ever since it was announced. The film will be directed by Anup Bhandari and bankrolled by Supri Yanvi Picture Studio, which is Sudeep’s banner. The latest info about the film is that it is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 75 crore, making it one of the more expensive films in Sandalwood.
On the budget, Anup said in an interview to Cinema Express, “As for the budget, the production house will reveal it when they are ready. That is if they are ready to talk about it. As far as I am concerned, I am focusing on the directorial responsibilities. However, the exact figure is something that the producers will know better about.”
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that Anup is planning Billa Ranga Baashaa as a science fiction film and the story will be set in 2209. All other details regarding the film are being kept under wraps for now, say sources. There are reports doing rounds that Billa Ranga Baashaa will be made in multiple languages and released across the globe.
The film, however, will not take off immediately as Sudeep is busy completing Kotigobba 3. While Sudeep himself has penned Kotigobba 3, it is being directed by debutant Shiva Karthik. Arjun Janya is composing music for this venture while Shekar Chandru is handling the camera.
Besides Kotigobba 3, Sudeep’s Pailwaan is gearing up for release soon. The film is in the post-production stages right now. The star plays a wrestler and boxer in the film and had undergone special training for it.
Further, the versatile actor will be seen in the Telugu flick Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, in which he plays a pivotal role and will be sharing screen space with mega star Chiranjeevi and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. Sye Raa is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan Teja under his banner Konidela Production Company.
