Bigg Boss Kannada season 6 went on air in style with its host making a grand entry into the newly built house. The host, Kiccha Sudeep, was air-lifted and dropped inside the house with the help of a crane, making it one grand entry. The added bonanza to this impressive entry was the title song from The Villain playing in the background.

Generally, the inauguration of the show happens at the studio but this time around it was in the Bigg Boss house. It may be noted here that the Bigg Boss house was destroyed in a major fire that occurred eight months ago and a new house has now been constructed at the same spot – Innovative Film City in Bidadi, which is about 40 km from Bengaluru.

Explaining why the launch happened in a different manner, Sudeep was quoted by the Indian Express as saying: “Every year the show is normally launched on the stage. But, today, we will begin the season from the garden area of the house. There is a reason. When the Bigg Boss house was gutted in a fire, we realised how much we were attached to it.” He added that only an idol of a goddess and a water pump managed to escape the fire while everything else was razed down.

While he gave a tour of the house, Sudeep said, “The house is beautiful but it becomes more colourful when we send in the contestants.” The new house will also have a beauty parlour and a separate bedroom for the captain of the house.

The show, which has 18 contestants, went on air on Sunday with a four-hour episode in which Sudeep introduced each of the participants. This time around, the contestants have been chosen from film and entertainment industry personalities as well as civilians.
