Zakariya Mohammed, the director of the hit film Sudani from Nigeria, has revealed that the title of his next film would be Halal Love Story. He has roped in Joju George, Indrajith Sukumaran, Grace Antony and Sharafudheen to play the main leads in this flick. The core technical crew will include Ajay Menon for cinematography, Saiju Sreedharan for editing, and Bijibal and Shahabaz Aman for music. Halal Love Story will be bankrolled by Aashiq Abu, Jesna Ashim and Harshad Ali.

Aashiq Abu and Zakariya Mohammed share a good rapport, as the latter played a role in the former’s critically acclaimed film Virus. Incidentally, the film also had Indrajith in an important role.

On being a part of Halal Love Story, Indrajith Sukumaran was quoted in an interview to the Times of India as saying, “It’s a humorous love story and I will start shooting my portions by November 20… It’s also a fun movie that I am doing after a long time; the last all-out entertainer I did was probably Mohanlal. So, it’s a welcome change.”

The actor is currently busy with a number of films, including Kurup. Wielding the megaphone for Kurup is Srinath Rajendran with Dulquer Salmaan playing the title role in it.

It may be noted here that Zakariya Mohammed’s Sudani from Nigeria was a comedy-drama. Zakariya had also penned the screenplay for the film, which starred Soubin Shahir, Samuel Abiola Robinson and Aneesh G Menon.

Joju George, meanwhile, recently inked a deal to star in Prathi Poovan Kozhi. The film, directed by Rosshan Andrrew, is bankrolled by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. The technical crew of Prathi Poovan Kozhi includes G Balamurugan to handle the camera, Jyotish Shankar for art direction and Gopi Sunder to compose the music.
