Sridevi’s daughter Jahnavi part of Mahesh Babu’s next film?

According to recent reports, Sridevi’s daughter Jahnavi Kapoor was approached with an offer to act opposite superstar Mahesh Babu in his next bilingual film under A R Murugadoss’s direction. However, sources from the film’s unit have rubbished the reports and added that they didn’t even consider her in the first place.

“We didn’t know where this rumour originated from. While it’s true that Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt were considered for the roles, we never even thought of Jahnavi as an option,” the source said. Parineeti eventually walked out of the project over remuneration and was subsequently replaced by Rakul Preet Singh.

The project, which is tipped to be made on a budget of Rs. 90 crore, is currently being shot in Hyderabad. The makers will soon shift to Mumbai, where predominant portions of the film will be shot. Actor-filmmaker S.J Suryah plays the main antagonist.
