Victory Venkatesh’s birthday treat for his fans was simply awesome. It was the right time for the star to have a teaser of his upcoming film, Guru, released. The teaser, as expected, went viral within minutes of it being posted online. The teaser, being the hero’s birthday special, focussed on him completely.
The shooting of Guru has been wrapped and the film is expected to hit the screens on January 26, 2017. A remake of the hit Tamil film, Irudhi Suttru, the film has been directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad. She had directed the Tamil and Hindi versions Irudhi Suttru and Saala Khadoos respectively.
Rithika Singh, who had essayed the same role in the Tamil and Hindi versions and won a special National Award for her performance, will be seen in the Telugu version as well. Venkatesh is reprising Madhavan’s role as a boxing coach in Guru. Produced by Sashikanth’s Y Not Studios, the film has music by Santosh Narayanan.
