‘Sorry, didn’t mean to’: Jadeja’s reaction to getting Kohli’s wicket leaves people laughing

Ravindra Jadeja had a moment during the match against RCB on Saturday that left everyone, including the commentary team, laughing. With the first ball of the seventh over in the RCB innings, which was also Jadeja’s first ball, he claimed the prize wicket of the RCB and Indian team captain Virat Kohli.

Amazingly, Jadeja looked more shocked than happy. He ended up just putting both his hands in the air and not really reacting any further. The moment was compared by one of the commentators present at the time to when a football player scores against a side he used to play for.

He picked up 2 more wickets in his spell and refrained from celebrating on either of those occasions as well,  that didn’t stop social media from having a laugh at his expense.

Jadeja has had a tough time through this season’s IPL. In the previous game against KKR, he endured an awful run with the bat, ball and in the field. He first scored a run-a-ball 12 towards the end of the innings and followed it by conceding 39 runs in his 4 overs. His nightmare match was capped off with 2 consecutive dropped catches from the bat of eventual the Man of the Match Sunil Narine.

But his performance this match earned him the Man of the Match award.

The Chennai Super Kings find themselves on top of the IPL points table after winning 7 out of the 10 games played by the team so far. The Sunrisers Hyderabad closely follow in the second place.

CSK next play on Friday, 11th May against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
