Gmail users will soon be able to schedule e-mails and respond to comments on Google Doc from without leaving their inboxes, Google announced as Gmail turned 15 on April 1.

Google stated that they are updating their ‘Smart Compose’ feature to include more languages (Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese) and are bringing it to Android (previously, it was only available on Pixel 3 devices), with iOS coming soon.

"It will personalize suggestions for you, so if you prefer saying "Ahoy," or "Ello, mate" in your greetings, Smart Compose will suggest just that. It can also suggest a subject line based on the email you've written," the company stated in a release.

Google will also allow users to respond to comment threads in Google Docs from within Gmail itself and will not have to be visit Google Docs to do so.

"You can respond to a comment thread in Google Docs, browse hotel recommendations and more, directly within emails. This way you don’t have to open a new tab or app to get things done," said Google.

Google also rolled out the feature to let users schedule emails to be sent at more appropriate dates while fluctuating between time zones using Gmail.

“You can decide when your email gets delivered to someone else’s inbox. Today, we added a new feature that lets you schedule an email to be sent at a more appropriate date or time, which is helpful if you’re working across time zones, or want to avoid interrupting someone’s vacation,” Google said.

"Gmail's tabbed inbox feature was the first of its kind, helping you organise messages by category, so you can see what's new at a glance. AI-powered features like Smart Reply and Nudges helped you reply faster and stay on top of your to-dos,' the company added.

Google in January released a new interface design for the mobile version of Gmail that includes new visual implementations, as well as feature additions.

Google had rolled out a big redesign of Gmail in 2018 and added several new features, including Smart Reply, email snoozing, follow-up Nudges and hover actions, as well as the inline attachments and images on Android.
