Sony’s latest smartphone launched this week is the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra. The specifications and features of this new phone can only be described as a mixed bag. This is probably reflected in the price of this phone at Rs 29, 990; neither too high nor low either.

The display of the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra is a good six inches. It’s a full HD display with a 1080x1920p resolution and screen being protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. The main engine is a 54-bit octa-core processor MediaTek Helio P20 and its clocking speed is 2.3GHz. The GPU is the Mali T880.

The phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. A microSD card can take this to 256GB. Sony always scores with its imaging capabilities and the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra is no exception. The phone is fitted with a 23MP rear camera that has the LED flash support and the front camera for selfies is 16MP with a selfie flash as well as the optical image optimization feature.

The battery on this Sony smartphone is rated 2700mAh and it can be quick charged using the MediaTek PumpExpress 2.0.

An interesting feature is the presence of Xperia Actions, a kind of AI-based software that helps with understanding the user’s habits and makes adjustments automatically in organizing the settings and apps in the device to make the user experience smoother.

The dimensions of the Sony Experia XA1 Ultra read 165 x 79 x 8.1 mm and the phone weighs a good 188gms. Black, gold and white are the colors in which the phone is being made available.

The latest smartphone offering from Sony is already available in the market and can be purchased from the dedicated Sony Center stores or other retail stores. As mentioned, the price of this phone is Rs 29, 990.
