Dulquer Salmaan’s Bollywood debut with Karwaan turned out to be successful and the star is now ready to move on to his next, The Zoya Factor. The shooting for this film is all set to begin and Sonam Kapoor, who plays the title role, had tweeted: “Super excited to shoot for “The Zoya Factor” with Dulquer Salmaan. Can’t wait to share more updates with you all! @dulQuer.”

Earlier in an interview, Sonam was quoted as saying, “Dulquer is really cute and such a good actor. I have seen his film OK Kanmani and he was fabulous in that. I really liked him in that movie. I haven’t started prepping with Dulquer. It’s starting in August so I am looking forward to working with him. We will start in August or September.”

Dulquer recently wrapped up his Tamil movie Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal and is all set to move on to The Zoya Factor. The film is based on a novel of the same name penned by Anuja Chauhan. It is about an advertising agency executive, Zoya Singh Solanki, getting to meet the Indian cricket team and turning out to be their lucky mascot which eventually helps the team lift the Cricket World Cup in 2010.

Sonam Kapoor will be playing the main lead in the film and Dulquer Salmaan will star as Nikhil Khoda, the captain of the Indian cricket team, say sources. Dulquer will be undergoing cricket coaching for this flick. Slated for release in April next year, The Zoya Factor is bankrolled jointly by Fox Star Studios and Adlabs Films.

While Dulquer will start shooting for The Zoya Factor soon, he also has the Tamil film Vaan, directed by RA Karthik. Besides the Malayalam directorial by Mahesh Narayanan, Dulquer has signed two more films in Mollywood. They are Sukumara Kurup to be directed by Srinath Rajendran and BC Noufal’s Oru Yamandan Prema Kadha. Both these projects are expected to take off later this year.
