Ending the speculation surrounding the alliance between the RJD and his party before the Bihar Assembly Elections, JD(U) President Sharad Yadav has said that both parties will ally with the Congress in the upcoming polls.According to a report in The Times of India, Yadav has said that the alliance was not in question. “The unity is bound to happen as it is the need of the hour. The nation needs it. All of us will contest election together. Congress, JD-U, RJD, NCP and others will fight together,” Yadav was quoted as saying.Yadav’s statement comes a day after RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s aide Bhola Yadav had met Bihar CM Nitish Kumar who has reportedly expressed discontent at the delay in the alliance coming through. In a rally in Patna, Yadav had re-iterated his wish to fight “communal forces” on Wednesday.Media reports have indicated that the BJP could be egging Prasad on to not go in for an alliance with Kumar and that the RJD and the JD(U) had other options in mind too.In his statements though, Yadav has re-iterated that the Janata Parivar merger has happened. “The unity (of Janata Parivar parties) has already been announced. Now the announcement will materialise. It will materialise as the country needs it,” he was quoted as saying. Also Read: Why Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi are fighting over fruit trees
