The shoot of Sivakarthikeyan’s Namma Veetu Pillai, his third collaboration with director Pandiraj, has been successfully wrapped up. Anu Emmanuel, who plays one of the leads in the film, took to Instagram to update about the shoot completion. She shared photos of the crew celebrating the completion of shoot by cutting a cake, and captioned it: "Wrap for Namma Veetu Pillai. See you in theatres very soon."

The film’s supporting cast features Yogi Babu, Soori, Samuthirakani and RK Suresh, Natarajan and Bharathiraja in pivotal roles. Tipped to be a rural family entertainer, the film features Sivakarthikeyan in a rural avatar.

Following the runaway success of Kadai Kutty Singam, Pandiraj was supposed to immediately work with Suriya. However, due to the actor’s multiple other commitments, he was asked to go ahead with his project with Sivakarthikeyan.

D Imman has been roped in to compose music. Nirav Shah has cranked the camera, while Antony Ruben is editing the project. Veera Samar has been signed as the art director. The film, if everything goes as planned, will hit the screens worldwide next year during Pongal festival.

Last seen in Mr Local, which went on to be a box-office dud, Sivakarthikeyan is currently juggling between three projects. Having recently begun shooting for PS Mithran’s Hero, which marks the Tamil debut of Kalyani Priyadarshan Siva also has the yet-untitled science-fiction film with Ravi kumar.

He also has a project with director Siva in the pipeline. He also has a film with Vignesh Shivn in the pipeline. Currently dubbed as SK 17, it was recently reported that Rashmika Mandanna is in talks for the project which will feature two heroines. To be produced by Lyca Productions, the film will mark the first-time collaboration of Siva and Shivn, whose last release was Suriya starrer Thaana Serntha Kootam (TSK).
