Karthik G Krish of Kappal fame is gearing up to release his next film. Titled Takkar, this film has Siddharth playing the lead role. The two had worked together in Saithan Ka Bachcha earlier. The shooting of this romantic action drama was completed some weeks ago and it is currently in post-production mode. According to director Karthik G Krish, the team is looking forward to releasing Takkar in January 2020.

On keeping Kappal a low-key affair and away from the prying eyes of the media, the director has told in an interview to the Silverscreen, “We did this deliberately. Our entire team was in on the making of the project. The shooting began in February. And we’re almost done with the post-production, The film will release in January 2020.”

Even as Siddharth and Karthik G Krish are awaiting the release of their Shaitan Ka Bachcha, the duo had discussed the project on the sets following which the director began working on the script immediately. The producers of Kappal, Sudhan and Jayaram, are bankrolling Takkar under their banner Passion Studios.

Takkar has Divyansha Kaushik pairing up with Siddharth. Revealing about the roles played by the lead stars, the director has said, “The story is about two egoistic and hot-tempered characters, whose lives go through transformations after encountering each other.”

Abhimanyu Singh, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth and RJ Vignesh are also part of the star cast. The technical crew of this film includes Nivas K Prasanna for music and Vaanjinathan Murugesan for cinematography with Ga Gowtham for editing and Udaya Kumar for art direction. Umadevi, Ku Karthik and Arivarasu have penned the lyrics for the songs and Dinesh Kasi has choreographed the stunts.

Last seen in Aruvam Siddharth, who made his debut with director Shankar in Boys, has been roped in for Kamal Hassan's Indian 2. According to sources, he will be seen playing the role of a cop and it is believed that Siddharth plays Senapathy’s grandson who sets out to avenge the death of his father.
