The shooting of the Prithviraj starrer Nine has been going on in the Himalayas for the past few weeks and now we hear that the grueling schedule has come to an end. The team was stationed in Spiti Valley and with the schedule wrapped up they will be moving over to Delhi to can a few other scenes there.

Directed by Jenuse Mohammad, it is touted to be a science fiction thriller though this has not been confirmed yet by the makers. It stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Prakash Raj, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles. Nine’s technical crew includes Shaan Rahman for composing music for the songs while Sekhar Menon will be doing the music composition for background score. Abinandhan Ramanujam is 3cranking the camera for this venture and Shameer Muhammed is the editor. The character posters of the film were released and it was revealed that Wamiqa Gabbie plays the role Eva while Mamta Mohandas will be seen as Annie.

The shooting of this film began on April 9th this year in Thiruvananthapuram and has progressing steadily since then. Nine is a very important film in Prithviraj’s career as it will be his maiden production venture. Despite the film going on to the floors a couple of months ago, the team remains tight lipped about the storyline The film is being bankrolled by Supriya Menon under the banner SPE Films India. The film will be distributed by Sony Pictures which will mark the production and distribution house’s entry into the Malayalam film industr

On Nine, Prithiviraj had shared on the social media, “From the creative heads at Sony, to Supriya, me and every single crew member you see in the credits, came on board for how new we thought the film and it’s premise was. Soon, we will also introduce you to the cast..and why we think this is a genuine first of its kind for Malayalam cinema (sic).”
