The Tagaru teaser launch was a grand affair with the film’s hero Shiva Rajkumar, and Tollywood star Allu Sirish and Rakshit Shetty participating. What made the event even more interesting is that the audiences got to see the three stars dance on stage to a hit number from Rakshit Shetty’s Ulidavaru Kandante.

Tweeting about it, Allu Sirish said: “It was honour to be a guest at #Tagaru teaser alongside Kannada superstars Puneet, Shivarajkumar & @rakshitshetty. The best part was shaking a leg with Shivanna on stage.”

The teaser that was released, on the other hand, looked intense and captured the attention of the audiences instantly. Shiva Rajkumar appears as a cop in the film, and it looks like he is dealing with a deplorable crime in the movie. The film has been shot extensively in various locations in Karnataka including Mysuru, Mangaluru and the coastal regions.

Directed by Duniya Soori, the film has Shiva Rajkumar and Bhavana Manvitha playing the lead pair with Dhananjay in a pivotal role. Others in the star cast in supporting roles include Vasishta N Simha, Devaraj, and Suhasini Maniratnam. Charan Raj has composed music for this film with Mahendra Simha wielding the camera and Deepu S. Kumar editing it. KP Srikanth is bankrolling the film under his banner Venus Entertainers.

Duniya Soori and Shiva Rajkumar had teamed up for Kaddipudi in 2013 and this is their second collaboration.

While Tagaru is slated for release later this month, Shiva Rajkumar has a couple of other films lined up for release this year as well, including The Villain and Mufti. Going by the teaser of Tagaru, it looks like the star’s fans can expect an intense crime thriller loaded with entertainment.

The star has also inked a deal to star in a movie titled SRK. Reportedly, Shiva Rajkumar was initially apprehensive about the name of the film, since Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is referred to as SRK. However, director Lakki Gopal managed to convince him, since SRK is also an acronym of Shiva Rajkumar’s name – and could mean many things, including Simple, Ruling, King.
