It was reported a few days ago that the Shivappa team had wrapped up the first schedule and that the project was progressing at a fast pace. Starring Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in the lead, the film is directed by cinematographer-turned-director Vijay Milton. Incidentally, Shivappa marks his debut in the Kannada film industry.
Confirming the completion of the first schedule, Vijay Milton had recently tweeted: “done with 1st schedule of #shivappa to all @NimmaShivanna fans out there, i became one of u. 8 days of schedule completed 23 scenes. tnx to the whole team especially to @dhananjaya_ka @AmbarPruthv @krishnasarthak1 #anoopseelin @yoursanjali.”

Now, the Shivappa team has released Shiva Rajkumar’s look in the film and it is going viral among his fans. In the pic, the star is seen sporting what seems to be a jail inmate’s uniform, with his hair looking unkempt. He is also seen wearing a chain with a tiger tooth pendant, making fans wonder what his role in the film would be like. Besides Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role, the film also stars Anjali, Dhananjaya, Yasha Shivakumar and Pruthvi Ambaar.
Other than this Vijay Milton directorial, Shiva Rajkumar has two films – Bhajarangi 2 and RDX – needing his attention.
Harsha is wielding the megaphone for Bhajarangi 2, which has raised the expectation levels as the duo are teaming up for the third time. The film will have Bhavana sharing screen space with Shiva Rajkumar. The technical crew of Bhajarangi 2 will comprise Arjun Janya for music composition, J Swamy to handle the camera and Deepu S Kumar for editing.
RDX, meaning RD Xavier, will have Shiva Rajkumar appearing in the title role. Touted to be a cop drama, made as a mass entertainer, it is directed by Ravi Arasu with the dialogues penned by Chandramouli. The rest of the technical crew includes Charan Raj for music and M Saravanan for cinematography with Rajasekar choreographing the stunts and Durairaj taking care of the art direction. Sathya Jyothi Films is bankrolling RDX.
Shiva Rajkumar also has Bhairathi Ranagallu in the pipeline needing his attention. This film is directed by Mufti director Narthan and will be the star’s landmark 125th film.
Further, the buzz is that Shiva Rajkumar recently gave his nod to work with debut director Kotresh Chapparadahalli. Reports suggest that the shooting of this film may begin early next month. An official word on the cast and crew is expected to be out soon.
It may be noted here that Vijay Milton, a well-known cinematographer, turned director with the Tamil flick Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu in 2006, but it was the critically acclaimed Goli Soda in 2014 that won him accolades and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film. He is currently wielding the camera for the Kannada movie Pogaru, which is directed by Nanda Kishore. This film has Dhruva Sarja playing the lead role with Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine.
