Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar’s fans are waiting eagerly for the release of his first film this year. And the buzz now is that Tagaru will be his first movie of the year. The movie is slated for release on February 9 and the team is promoting it vigorously. Earlier, the team had planned to release the film for Sankaranthi on January 10 but it has now been postponed to February 9. It may be noted that the film was supposed to hit the marquee late last year but that was delayed for various reasons.
Written and directed by Duniya Soori, Tagaru is produced by KP Srikanth under his banner Venus Entertainers. Charan Raj has composed music for this flick and Mahendra Sinha had wielded the camera for it while Deepu S Kumar has edited it.
Tagaru stars Shiva Rajkumar and Manvitha as the lead pair with the star cast also including Bhavana, Dhananjay, Vasishta N. Simha, Devaraj and Suhasini Maniratnam in supporting roles.
Director Duniya Soori and Shiva Rajkumar had teamed up for Kaddupidi about five years ago and the film was a massive success. With the duo teaming up for the second time with Tagaru, movie buffs are eagerly waiting to know what they are coming up with, this time around.
Shiva Rajkumar’s last release Mufti was a big hit and this has upped the expectation levels for Tagaru. His next release will be The Villain, in which he shares the screen space with Kiccha Sudeep for the first time. Besides these films, he also has Kavacha lined up for release this year. While The Villain is directed by Prem, Kavacha is being helmed by GVR Vasu. The star is expected to sign a couple of more films soon.
