Shiva Rajkumar’s fans are quite disappointed as the release of the star’s Kavacha has been postponed to next year. The film was initially planned for release on December 7 but had to be pushed off to next year for various reasons.

Directed by GVR Vasu, the film is the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Oppam that had Mohanlal playing the lead role while Priyadarshan had directed it. The movie is being bankrolled by MVV Sathyanarayanan. Rahul Shrivastav is cranking the camera for it and the music for the film is being composed by Arjun Janya.

Shiva Rajkumar plays the lead role in Kavacha with Kruthika Jayakumar as his female lead. The star cast also includes Isha Koppikar, Baby Meenakshi and Vasishta N. Simha in pivotal roles. In this movie, Shiva Rajkumar will appear as a blind man and according to sources, his performance would be top notch.

The star’s last film release was The Villain, which did very well at the box office. Directed by Prem, it is a multi-starrer that had Shiva Rajkumar sharing the screen space with Kiccha Sudeep. The star cast of this film includes Amy Jackson, Srikanth, Mithun Chakraborty and Sruthi Hariharan.

It may be mentioned that Shiva Rajkumar began this year with Tagaru. Directed by Duniya Soori, the film had Manvitha and Bhavana playing the female lead roles with Dhananjay in an important role. With two film releases this year, the star’s fans were expecting a hat trick from him this year. However, the postponement of Kavacha did put a break on their hopes. Well, let’s wish that he begins 2019 with a hit movie.
