India is yet to win a medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. The Internet, though, has been kind to the sportspersons, recognising their effort despite the lackadaisical attitude of the Sports Ministry, the poor infrastructure back home and well…just how hard it is to become an athlete in India.
True, that. And it’s not only teachers who’re determined to keep you off the field.
It’s everybody.
Even if you were allowed to play, did you play anything other than cricket?

Vivek: Dei, Dei, did we play Long Jump, High Jump in the PT period? We just threw the ball high in the sky for catch, or played cricket!
Oh well, there’s always the IPL to show the rest of the world our game.

Though not recognized at the Olympics, this is the kind of weight-lifting that would have won us a medal for sure.
