A second rape complaint has been filed against Dr Madhukar G Angur, founder-chancellor of Alliance University in Bengaluru on Friday by a 50-year-old marketing executive.

The Hindu reported that, the victim who works in a hotel in the city filed the complaint against the academician, who was arrested in February 2016 on the charge of raping his niece. The complaint was filed at JP Nagar police station.

According to the complaint, she had met Angur on a matrimonial website. Angur allegedly raped her thrice: in 2005 at BTM layout, the second time in Chandigarh in 2013. The third time, she was allegedly raped on February 3, 2016, in the hotel where she worked, reported The Hindu.

The first rape complaint on him was filed by his sister.

The 60-year-old chancellor of the private university was arrested by the police in South Bengaluru for allegedly raping his 32-year-old niece who was an employee at the university between 2011 and 2014.

He was arrested earlier in February based on a complaint filed by his sister, the mother of the alleged victim. She filed the complaint in Madiwala police station on February 4, 2016 and was arrested on February 8.

The victim’s mother alleged that Angur threatened the victim against revealing the nature of their relationship to anyone fearing which they did not file a complaint.

However, he has told the police that he has been framed on account of a property dispute between him and his sister. Dr Angur has been remanded to judicial custody by a court.
