Kannada powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar and director Santosh Ananddram, who had tasted success in their previous outing Raajakumara, are all set to collaborate for another venture. If all goes well, Sayyeshaa Saigal will make her Sandalwood debut as the leading lady in the new project, titled Yuvaratna.

Sayyeshaa, who began her career with the Telugu film Akhil starring Nagarjuna’s son Akhil Akkineni in the lead role, is currently busy with the KV Anand directorial Kaappan. The movie stars Mohanlal, Suriya and Arya as the male leads.

Meanwhile, Yuvaratna is bankrolled under the banner Hombale Films, which recently gave the hit movie KGF starring Yash. The shooting of Yuvaratna is slated to begin on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The movie, which was announced on November 1, will see Puneeth donning the role of a college-goer. The tagline of the movie is ‘Power of Youth’, which gives an indication that the movie will have political undertones. V Hari Krishna was roped in to compose music for this flick.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s Nata Sarvabhouma is gearing up for release on February 7. The film is helmed by Pavan Wadeyar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions. Its technical crew include D Imman for music, Tollywood dance master Jani for choreography and Vaidhi as the cameraman. The film will have two heroines – Rachita Ram and Anupama Parameswaran, who will be making her debut in Sandalwood with Nata Sarvabhouma.

Pavan Wadeyar had earlier told Cinema Express that Puneeth has always been a trendsetter with his unique style. “He is currently sporting a thread that has a jewel with nine gemstones on his wrist, rather than wearing it as a ring or around the neck, as it usually is worn,” he was quoted as saying.
