Samantha backs out of Vada Chennai?

After much delay, Dhanush's highly anticipated gangster trilogy drama Vada Chennai has finally gone on the floors last week. The film, which will be directed by Vetrimaaran, will track 30 years in the life of a gangster and it stars Andrea, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Going by latest reports, Samantha is said to have backed out of the project due to some personal commitments and hence, won't be able to set aside nearly a year for the three parts of the film.

The Kaththi actress who is rumored to be dating Telugu star Naga Chaitanya hasn't signed any project since the release of A... Aa, even though she announced she will star in the Tamil and Telugu remake of Kannada thriller U-Turn.               

The film, which marks Dhanush's third collaboration with Vetrimaaran, is being produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films.
