Bollywood star Salman Khan has praised the trailer of his biggest competitor Shah Rukh Khan's forthcoming film "Happy New Year" (HNY), but not without promoting his recent gold-spinner "Kick".

"Jst saw happy new year ka promo, it's Kick ass," Salman tweeted late Thursday night.

The tweet made "Happy New Year" director Farah Khan smile ear to ear. "Yayyyyyy that makes me soo HAPPY," Farah posted on her Facebook page.

The HNY trailer was launched at a glitzy event here Thursday, with the film's cast and crew in attendance. The movie, a heist entertainer, stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood and SRK in key roles. It is likely to cash in on the festive season with a release around Diwali.

`Vishal, Shekhar not upset, busy`

Refuting reports that composer duo Vishal-Shekhar are upset with him for his association with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, Shah Rukh Khan clarified that they are not joining him for the world tour because of their prior commitment.

Along with his "Happy New Year" co-stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani, SRK is all set to enthrall his fans abroad with SLAM! THE TOUR, starting Sep 19.

He will also be joined by filmmaker Farah Khan as well as Malaika Arora, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah, Kanika Kapoor and Honey Singh.

But Vishal-Shekhar, who have composed the film's album, won't be joining them.

"Vishal and Shekhar are not joining us for the tour because they are busy. It's not that they are upset with us," SRK said at the trailer launch of "Happy New Year" and the composer duo performed the song "Indiawale" at the event.

Dad will be proud of my work in HNY: Vivaan

His dad may be a star of non-commercial cinema, but Vivaan Shah is confident that Naseerudddin Shah will appreciate his performance in Shah Rukh Khan's forthcoming masala movie "Happy New Year" (HNY).

He said that his dad feels "Happy New Year" is the "biggest blessing for him" and added: "My dad will be really proud of my work in the film."
