Sai Pallavi turns down offer to star in film with Bellamkonda Srinivas?

Known for her careful selection of roles, the actor is currently busy with ‘Maari 2’ and ‘NGK’ in Tamil.

Reports from tinsel town indicate that Sai Pallavi has turned down an offer to star in a film which has Bellamkonda Srinivas in the lead role. Though no further details about the film are out, we hear from sources that the talented actor did not want to be a part of the project as the role offered to her did not provide enough fodder to showcase her acting skills. Sources in the know add that Sai Pallavi did not take up the role in spite of being offered a huge amount as remuneration.

On her career moves in Tollywood, we hear that Sai Pallavi is currently in talks with directors Shekar Kammula and Venu Uduguala to star in their upcoming film. The actor is keen on taking up roles that will have scope to exhibit her histrionic talent and is not in a hurry to ink new deals, say sources.

Sai Pallavi’s career graph soared with her debut as heroine in Mollywood with Premam in 2015. Before that she was seen as a child artiste in Kasturi Mann and in an uncredited role in Dhaam Dhoom. She went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her performance in Premam and since then has been bagging some of the most coveted roles in Tollywood. The actor made her debut in the Tamil film industry with the AL Vijay directorial Diya this year and has a couple of movies lined up for release.

Besides Maari 2 and NGK in Tamil, Sai Pallavi has also signed a Telugu film titled Padi Padi Leche Manasu directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. She is paired opposite Sharwanand in this romantic entertainer. It is touted to be a rom-com, which is something that Hanu Raghavapudi excels at. Produced by Prasad Chukkapalli and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, the film is scheduled for release on September 21.
