Reports are that the producer of the recently-released Inttelligent, C Kalyan of CK Entertainments has suffered a huge loss to the tune of Rs. 15 crores. Inttelligent was sold for Rs. 27 crore in spite of Sai Dharam Tej’s recent track record.

The film has turned out to be a flop following which the producer had to bear the brunt. Sources in the know say that his decision to release Inttelligent in several areas is the reason for the losses incurred. The biggest gain for the producer reportedly came from the satellite and digital rights he managed to sell much before the film’s release. There have been talks about the film’s director VV Vinayak returning a part of his remuneration to settle the losses but these are unconfirmed reports, say sources.

Directed by VV Vinayak, whose last outing which was the comeback venture of the mega star Chiranjeevi, Khaidi No 150 was a blockbuster hit. And C Kalyan’s previous production venture Jai Simha, which had N Balakrishna in the lead role, was a hit as well. However, Inttelligent did not yield the desired results of both the producer as well as the director.

Starring Sai Dharam Tej and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles, the film had Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Rahul Dev, Brahmanandam, Dev Gill, Vineeth Kumar, Kasi Viswanath, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Prudhvi Raj in the star cast.

Music for the film has been composed by S. V. Vishweshwar and the editing has been done by Gowtham Raju.

According to reports on its box office collections, Inttelligent has managed to collect a meagre Rs. 2 crores at the box office in both the states – Andhra and Telangana. With negative talks, the film’s collection further dwindled making it a flop, say trade sources.
