The first-look motion poster of Vikram’s Saamy Square was released on May 17. Produced by Thameen’s Films, the film reunites Director Hari and actor Vikram once again, 15 years later, in the famous cop story.

The Saamy sequel has actor Keerthy Suresh pairing up with actor Vikram. The first film had Trisha play the female lead.

The motion poster first zooms in on a milestone that reads Thirunelveli 3 kms - Delhi 2726 kms, perhaps hinting that the film will be set in these two places. It then shows a statue (Vikram), accompanied by a line of statues of dogs on either side.

The statue comes to life, and the camera zooms in on Vikram (his Saamy looks have been retained). He shoots a bullet that becomes the rocket and shatters a rock to reveal the film’s title - Saamy Square.

The film also stars Prabhu Ganesan and Bobby Simha in lead roles. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for Saamy Square with A Venkatesh wielding the camera and VT Vijayan is editing the film.

In December last year the plot-line of the film was leaked online. A glimpse at the leaked posters revealed that the film will be a war between Aarusamy’s son, played by Vikram and Perumal Pichai’s son Ravana Pichai played by Bobby Simha. Though how much of it is true remains to be seen.

Saamy Square will hit screens on May 26. Vikram was last seen in Vijay Chander’s Sketch. He is currently working with Gautham Menon on Dhruva Natchathiram. His Last collaboration with Hari was Arul that came out in 2004.

Keerthy Suresh recently made heads turn with her role in Mahanati/Nadigayar Thilagam. In addition to Saamy 2 she also has Sandakozhi 2 and an untitled film with Vijay. Bobby Simha was last seen in Thiruttu Payale 2 and has two Malayalam films in the pipeline.
