A Russian national approached the Alwal police station in Hyderabad on Wednesday requesting help to find his ‘missing son’.

According to reports, Alex Ermakov (31), claimed that he had married a woman from Hyderabad named Sanam ul Haq, who was now refusing to give custody of their son to him.

According to the Times of India, In 2012, Alex landed in Goa, where he first met Sanam. They were reportedly in a live-in relationship for six months in India.

"After six months, I returned to Moscow. In 2013, Sanam informed me that she was pregnant with my child. After some time, she broke the news that she gave birth to our son, Nestor, in April.Towards the end of 2013, I came back to India and we decided to marry. On February 14, 2014, we had a registered marriage at Begumpet registration office. We stayed at Alwal for a few months before I took my family to Moscow," Alex told TOI.

After Sanam's visa expired she came back to India. However, the police said that she returned after quarrels over money and other family matters.

Alex alleged that the relationship turned sour, and his wife began trying to extort money from him in return for his son’s custody.

“I wanted my son’s custody as she had sought divorce. But, now she and her mother have vacated the house we used to live in earlier at Alwal. Since I could not find them, I had to approach the police,” Alex told Deccan Chronicle.

Reports also add that Alex last ran into Sanam a few months ago in Kathmandu, where she gave him the slip.
