"From as long as I can remember, his face has been etched in my heart. I used to think that meeting him in person or talking to him was out of my bounds. But until the day I die, I will not be able to admire somebody else than Vijay annan. Many people have constantly ridiculed me calling me a Vijay fanatic, told me that I won't be able to meet him at all. Now, I have an answer for them."

This is not a Facebook post by an average Vijay fan boy, but one posted by Saranya Visakh, who lives in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram district, after she met popular Tamil actor Vijay.

Having nurtured the dream of meeting the actor in person for years together, Saranya described in detail, about the seven-second long meeting with actor Vijay, that has left her excited.

"Annan used to say that if we need to board a train meant for us, then we will have to wait at the platform at least for some time. I waited for years and finally met him," Saranya wrote in Malayalam.

Sharing a photograph from her meeting with actor Vijay, Sarnaya wrote about how she was left dumbfounded at seeing the great actor before her eyes.

"I was stuck for a minute seeing him before me. Probably realising this, he called me by his side, extended his hand to me and asked me to smile for the camera. I don't remember following his instruction at all. I gave him advanced birthday wishes and left," Saranya wrote.

Although she doesn't say when and where she met actor Vijay, the actor had reportedly met fans on May 5 at the shooting location of his upcoming film Thalapathy 62 in Chennai.

Saranya, who says she is a “die-hard” fan of actor Vijay, as her Facebook profile proves, wrote that actor Vijay was someone who was "down-to-earth" and considered his fans as his brothers and sisters.

Saranya's Facebook post updated on Tuesday, is now doing the rounds on social media platforms and among Vijay fans groups on the internet, with several fans sharing the joy along with her.
