Actor Indrajith Sukumaran has confirmed that his upcoming film Thakkol is slated for release on December 6. He wrote on his social media page, “After a long wait, here comes THAKKOL on December 6th.. a movie and character very close to my heart! Ambrose Vaas is one of the most complex and intriguing characters I have played till date. Cheers and love from our team!”
Thakkol is directed by Kiron Prabhakaran. It is an action entertainer that has Murali Gopy, Renji Panicker, Nedumudi Venu and Iniya in the cast as well. The film is produced by Shaji Kailas in association with Mathew Joseph Thekkel. M Jayachandran is the music composer for this flick with Alby Antony cranking the camera.
Indrajith’s other film waiting for release is Kurup in which he shares screen space with Dulquer Salmaan. It has already been revealed that Dulquer plays the real life fugitive Sukumara Kurup and Indrajith will be seen as the cop investigating the crime. Shine Tom Chacko has been roped in to play the role Bhasi Pillai. Kurup also features Sobhita Dhulipala and Sunny Wayne in pivotal roles. Srinath Rajendran is directing this venture which is based on the life of the most elusive accused to date, Sukumara Kurup. The film is bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan’s own production house, Wayfarer Films, and M Stars. Kurup is scripted by Daniell Sayooj Nair and KS Aravind while Jithin K Jose has penned the story.
Another upcoming film of Indrajith, Aaha, is a film based on tug-of-war, directed by Bibin Paul Samuel. Indrajith will have two get-ups in it. The actor pointed out that he will be appearing as a 30-year-old and a 55-year-old. Ashwin K Kumar and Amith Chakalakkal play important roles in this flick with the former also appearing in two get-ups.
