Regina Cassandra has an impressive line-up of films down south and is all set to make her debut in Bollywood! The gorgeous actor has gone on to sign up the Hindi flick Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, which will have Sonam Kapoor in the lead. The film will be directed by popular filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister Shelly Chopra Dhar.

Apparently, bagging the role in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga wasn’t an easy task for Regina as she had to take part in a couple of auditions before clinching the role. Sources say that director Shelly wasn’t aware of Regina’s filmography when she first discussed the project, but later came to know of it and was impressed.

Regina Cassandra began her acting career in 2005 with a small role in the Tamil film Kanda Naal Mudhal, in which she shared the screen space with Prasanna and Laila. She was then went on to make her debut in Sandalwood with Suryakaanti and in Tollywood with Siva Manasulo Shakthi.

Her last film release was Awe, a heroine-centric film that has been directed by Prashanth Varma. In the film, she  shared the screen space with Kajal Agarwal and Nithya Menen in the film and won good reviews for her performance in it.

Produced by actor Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni under the banner Wall Poster Cinema, the film hit the silver screens on February 16th. Made on a budget of Rs. 60 lakhs, the film has collected around Rs. 10 crores at the box office, according to reports from the trade circles.

With Awe in the theatres, Regina has the Tamil film Mr Chandramouli in her kitty. She is sharing screen space with Karthik, Gautham Karthik and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the action comedy directed by Thiru.
