The News Minute| December 16, 2014| 11.33 am IST If these codes hidden inside a recent Whatsapp update are anything to go by then users can expect a web version of the popular messaging application- Whatsapp, according to reports on TOI. According to the report, Whatsapp co-founder Pavel Durov told TechCrunch that he thought Whatsapp was working on a web version since they hired a web developer. The report goes on to say that Whatsapp has not made any official announcement to legitimize this claim of having a web version of the popular messaging app yet. The Whatsapp codes in addition to the web version of the app mentions logging in to a web service as well as references to tracking of statuses online. According to the report these codes may not be definite proof but it does seem like the team at Whatsapp is exploring some web functionalities of the messaging app. The messaging app with over 600 million users is the largest messaging service and is probably the only app which still does web version in spite of its popularity.
