The Supreme Court on Thursday has suspended an order issued by the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal which had asked for government officials to register a complaint if a news item damaged the govt.’s reputation. According to an NDTV report, the apex court mentioned that Kejriwal had himself challenged defamation cases against him as they encroached on his freedom of speech. The order had caused much furore within the media with sections of the press saying that the Delhi CM was trying to curb dissent. Here is a copy of the order that was issued by the AAP chief:
