Kannada star Ravichandran has worked really hard on his new look for his upcoming film. Yet too be titled, the film is helmed by director Shiva Ganesh of Jigarthanda fame and produced by K Manju under his banner.

According to sources, the hero’s look in the film, tentatively referred to as ‘Production No: 42’, will be the most important aspect, following which Ravichandran has put in tremendous work on it. Also, this will be an important film in his career as it is the first horror movie he is starring in his long career.

The star, who will be seen sporting a cleanshaven look in the film, has also lost a lot of weight to fit into the character. Besides the actor, who plays the lead role, the star cast also includes Yash Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Chaitra Rao, Nisarga, Chetan and Arjun Gowda. The makers are planning for the shooting to be completed in one single schedule so as to facilitate the film’s release later this year.

Ravichandran’s last release was Buckasura, which hit the marquee on April 27 this year. Directed by Navaneeth, the film also starred Rohith and Kavya Gowda. Besides this untitled horror movie, the star also has a bunch of films in different stages of production. The most expected of the lot is Kurukshetra, in which he plays Lord Sri Krishna. Incidentally, it is a historical that has a bevy of stars in the cast including Darshan, Arjun Sarja, Ambareesh and others. The shooting of Kurukshtetra, touted to be one of the most expensive films in the history of Kannada cinema, is over and it is currently in the post-production stage.

The other films lined up for release for Ravichandran are Rajendra Ponnappa and Dasharatha. Both these films are expected to be out at theatres this year.
