Actor Ravi Teja who earlier showed interest in working for a remake of Tamil film Bogan, which starred Jayam Ravi, Aravind Swamy and actor Hansika Motwani, has reportedly dropped the project, as the actor is looking forward to work on a fresh script.

Sources in the tinsel town say that director Bobby came up with a script that impressed Ravi Teja so much that he decided to shelve the Bogan remake and move over to it. Ram Talluri, who was ready to produce the Bogan remake, has decided to bankroll the Ravi Teja – Bobby project.

Ravi Teja has been looking to score big at the box office for quite a while now with his films turning out to be duds. But things took a favorable turn with his latest release Raja the Great going on to receive positive reviews. Bobby and Ravi Teja had worked together in Power earlier and share a good rapport. Moreover, the director’s latest release Jai Lava Kusa had Jr NTR in triple roles and all the characters had been etched out well creating an impact.

The star is currently busy playing the lead role in Touch Chesi Choodu which is gearing up for release for Sankaranthi next year.

Written by Srinivasa Reddy and directed by Vikram Sirikonda, the story has been penned by acclaimed writer Vakkantham Vamsi. The film stars Ravi Teja and Raashi Khanna in the lead roles with Seerat Kapoor and Freddy Daruwala forming a part of the supporting cast.

The film is produced by Nallamalupu Bujji and Vallabhaneni Vamsi on the banner Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions while music for the film is composed by JAM 8 (Apprentice band of Pritam). Richard Prasad is the cameraman for the film and Gautham Raju is working as the editor.
