After Dear Comrade, Rashmika Mandanna will be next seen playing a village woman in the upcoming Telugu movie that has Allu Arjun as the lead star. The young actress forayed in to the Telugu film industry with Chalo and has since then been bagging some of the best roles.

Reports are that this untitled film is based on red sand smuggling which is prevalent in Rayalseema and Nellore. The director is planning to shoot the film in Seshachalam forests in Nellore and Chittoor districts, we hear. The film will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The official launch will happen on October 3 in Hyderabad and the shooting will begin in the month of November. 

While this film is taking shape, Allu Arjun is concentrating on the Trivikram Srinivas directorial titled Ala Vaikuntapuramlo. The film’s shooting is in progress and Pooja Hegde has been signed up to play female lead. Veteran actor Jayaram has been roped in to play Allu Arjun’s father in it.

Interestingly, another versatile actor Sathyaraj will be seen as the hero’s grandfather. The film is being bankrolled jointly by Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna under the banners Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations respectively. The technical crew of this film includes S Thaman for music, PS Vinod for cinematography and Naveen Nooli for editing.

Rashmika, on the other hand, is busy with the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru. The film will have two veteran actors Ramya Krishnan and Vijayashanthi in pivotal roles with Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh and producer Bandla Ganesh in the star cast as well. Sarileru Neekevvaru is being bankrolled jointly by Anil Sunkara, Dil Raju and Mahesh Babu under the banner AK Entertainments, Sri Venkateswara Creations, GMB Entertainment. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music for this venture. It is scheduled to hit the marquee for Sankranthi next year.
